CIL Jacksonville has expanded assistive technology options for people with disabilities by becoming the Northeast Regional Distribution Center for the Florida Alliance for Assistive Services and Technology (FAAST) program. FAAST is the newest addition to CIL programs and increases independence for the residents of Northeast Florida.

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority will officially open the JRTC at LaVilla on Monday, March 30, 2020. We are excited to enter a new era of mobility options within the region. Before we open to the public, we are staging (rain or shine) planned simulations/training exercises to ensure that the JTA is fully prepared to address operational and customer scenarios.

IL Jacksonville has been selected as Florida's host site for "CORE", a national sign language mentoring program. Florida will be the third State to provide this program, joining Washington, D.C. and Denver, Colorado.
