“I am so thrilled for this exciting partnership between The Able Trust and the Independent Living Resource Center that will change lives here in the Jacksonville area,” said State Senator Aaron Bean. “Both of these excellent organizations are doing so much to create employment opportunities for Floridians with disabilities, and I can’t wait to see what can be accomplished with this grant.”

The Independent Living Resource Center believes that it is our responsibility to hire and promote from within this community to ensure we are always focused on our mission: empowering people with disabilities to live independently.

CIL Day 2018

The ILRC's Youth Advisory Council joined delegates from other Florida Centers for Independent Living at our State's Capitol. Thanks to Farah and Farah, Regions Bank and Florida Vocational Rehabilitation for making this day possible! The ILRC Youth Advisory Council is made of 13-17 members of our community with disabilities between the ages of 13-25. The Council's goal is to represent the full spectrum of disability and cultivate leadership skills for all youth with disabilities.

NCIL Conference Applications

As NCIL’s 2018 Annual Conference on Independent Living draws near, many youth with disabilities may be unsure of how they will fund a conference experience. Attending a national conference like this is hugely important in the life of a young person.
